Facts of Marble

Infinite variety of colors
Comparatively Softer
Prone to damage from citric acids, alcohols and oils

Granite is an igneous rock

It was melted like volcanic lava once during its development. As opposed to lava, this melted (or molten) rock had never emerged to the top of the ground. It kept trapped inside the earth, where it slowly cool down and crystallized, resulting in a very uniform surface.

Marble is a metamorphic rock

It was once limestone, but over a long period of time, when coupled with factors such as intense heat and pressure it became re-crystallized. During this process, foreign substances often gain entry into the stone creating an infinite variety of colors, textures and veining. Marble is so similar to people; nobody are exactly alike.
